Alpinia oxyphylla, Fr. – YI ZHI REN – Dosis: 10g/Tag
- Alterung
All these suggested that Alpinia PCA was a potential anti-ageing agent, and its effects on spleen and liver were achieved at least partly by promoting endogenous antioxidant enzymatic activities and normalizing age-associated alterations. It may be therapeutically useful to minimize age-associated disorders where oxidative damage is the major cause.
- Krebs
2.1. Hautkrebs
Yakuchinone A induces apoptosis and inhibits cell proliferation in skin cancer cells
In parallel with suppression of tumor promotion, topically applied yakuchinone A and B markedly inhibited TPA-induced epidermal ODC activity and ODC mRNA expression. In another experiment, yakuchinone A and B reduced production of tumor necrosis factor-alpha in TPA-stimulated mouse skin. Furthermore, both compounds inhibited the TPA-induced expression of cyclooxygenase-2 at both transcriptional and translational levels. These findings indicate that pungent diarylheptanoids from A. oxyphylla Miquel have an antitumor promotional activity that might be related to their anti-inflammatory properties.
Alpinia oxyphylla Miq. bioactive extracts from supercritical fluid carbon dioxide extraction
In addition, the cell proliferation assay illustrated anti-growth and anti-migration effects in dose-dependent manners of the extracts on human skin melanoma cells
2.2. Anti-angiogenic effects
Anti-angiogenic effects of the fruit of Alpinia oxyphylla.
The use of A. oxyphylla for cancer and inflammation diseases may be partly due to its effects against vessel formation.
- Durchfall
Anti-diarrheal constituents of Alpinia oxyphylla.
These results suggested that A. oxyphylla might exhibit its anti-diarrhea effect partially by affecting the proteins of NHE3 and AQP4 with its active ingredient Tectochrysin.
- Neuroprotektion
Compared with the control on both culture days, treatment with PCA effectively reduced the levels of apoptosis of NSCs. At the same time, the reactive oxygen species (ROS) level in NSCs was depressed. In addition, PCA also significantly decreased the activity of elevated caspase-3, indicating that PCA may inhibit apoptosis of NSCs via suppression of the caspase cascade. These results suggest that PCA may be a potential growth inducer and apoptosis inhibitor for NSCs.
These results suggest that PCA may be a candidate chemical for the treatment of oxidative stress-induced neurodegenerative disease.
AO-ext showed the effects of anti-diuresis, anti-ulceration, anti-dementia and on increase in the learning function in animals. And also, AO-ext exhibited the increasing effect on the serum 11-hydroxycorticosteroid (11-OHCS) level in the above-described experimental animals and in intact and hypophysectomized rats.
- Allergie
Effect of Alpinia oxyphylla fruit extract on compound 48/80-induced anaphylactic reactions
These results indicate that AOFE may be beneficial in the treatment of non-specific anaphylactic reactions.
Suppression of immunoglobulin E-mediated anaphylactic reaction by Alpinia oxyphylla in rats.
These results indicated that AOWE may possess strong antianaphylactic action and also suggest that differential activity following administration routes may be caused by difference of bioavailability.
- Antidiurese

TCM
