Cuscuta, Semen – TU SI ZI
Dosis: 10-30g/Tag
- Sexualhormone
1.1. Impotenz
– Ex vivo relaxation effect of Cuscuta chinensis extract on rabbit corpus cavernosum
In conclusion, the Cuscuta chinensis extract exerts a relaxing effect on penile cavernous tissue in part by activating the NO-cGMP pathway, and it may improve erectile dysfunction (ED), which does not completely respond to sildenafil citrate.
This study showed that the KH-204 herbal formulation enhances intracavernous pressure and NO-cGMP activity in penile tissues of SHR male rats.
This is the first study to demonstrate that TFSC treatment may reverse kidney-yang deficiency symptoms by restoring the levels of testosterone and AR mRNA and protein expression in the kidney and testicle.
1.2. Männliche Unfruchtbarkeit/Spermienmangel
– Protection of extract from Cuscuta japonica on human sperm acrosome and ultrastructure
The suitable content of extract from C. japonica can significantly protect the sperm membrane, the acosomic structure and the mitochondrion function from the damage caused by ROS.
– Effects of flavonoids from Semen Cuscutae on the reproductive system in male rats.
FSC increased the weights of testis, epididymis and pituitary gland, and stimulated T and LH secretion both in vitro and in immature rats. FSC invigorates the reproductive system and reproductive endocrine function in male rats.
1.3. Haarausfall
– A study on the extracts of Cuscuta reflexa Roxb. in treatment of cyclophosphamide induced alopecia.
Groups treated with extracts of plant showed hair regrowth. Histopathology and gross morphologic observations for hair regrowth at shaved sites revealed active follicular proliferation.
– Effect of Cuscuta reflexa Roxb on androgen-induced alopecia.
The petroleum ether extract of C. reflexa and its isolate is useful in treatment of androgen-induced alopecia by inhibiting the enzyme 5alpha-reductase.
1.4. Frühzeitige weibliche Pubertät
Cuscuta reflexa stem and Corchorus olitorius seed treatment causes a remarkable delay in sexual maturation as evidenced by the age at vaginal opening and appearance of first estrus (cornified smear).
- Osteoporose
– Antiosteoporotic compounds from seeds of Cuscuta chinensis.
Our findings validated the clinical use of TSZ in the treatment of osteoporosis, and demonstrated that kaempferol and hyperoside are the active compounds in TSZ for the osteogenic effect.
In conclusion, this study shows that TSZ-AE enhanced ALP activity, collagen synthesis, BMP-2 expression, and mineralization in MG-63 cells. These results strongly suggest that C. chinensis can play an important role in osteoblastic bone formation and may possibly lead to the development of bone-forming drugs.
- Krebs
– In vitro anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer activities of Cuscuta reflexa Roxb.
The study showed that Cuscuta reflexa inhibits LPS induced inflammatory responses in RAW264.7 cells through interplay of TNF-α, COX-2 and NF-κB signalling. It induced apoptosis in Hep3B cells through the up regulation of p53, BAX and down regulation of Bcl-2 and survivin.
Oral administration of the extract (1 body wt) thrice a week in 22 mice, started on the tenth day after the first application of DMBA to the 252nd day, markedly delayed the appearance and retarded the growth of papillomas and the incidence of carcinoma, relative to a control group with 28 mice, in a two-stage system of tumorigenesis. Its prophylactic effect was found to be statistically significant.
- Diabetes
Both methanol and chloroform extracts of Cuscuta reflexa whole plant demonstrated significant oral hypoglycemic activity in glucose-loaded rats at doses of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg body weight.
- Hypertonie
– Pharmacological Actions of Cuscuta reflexa
An ethanol extract of Cuscuta Reflexa (CR) caused dose-dependent decreases in arterial blood pres sure and heart rate in pentothal anesthetized rats.
– Pharmacological Actions of Cuscuta reflexa
An ethanol extract of Cuscuta Reflexa (CR) caused dose-dependent decreases in arterial blood pres sure and heart rate in pentothal anesthetized rats.
- Hyperpigmentierung
These results indicate that AFSC inhibits p38 MAPK phosphorylation with suppressed cAMP levels and subsequently down-regulate MITF and TRP expression, which results in a marked reduction of melanin synthesis and tyrosinase activity in α-MSH-stimulated B16F10 cells.
- Hyperthermie
Pharmacological Study of Cuscuta campestris Yuncker
A marked lowering of the body temperature of both hyperthermic as well as normothermic mice was produced. Therefore, the extract possesses a hypothermic rather than an antipyretic effect
- ZNS-Übererregung
– Pharmacological Study of Cuscuta campestris Yuncker
Regarding its CNS action, the extract produced a decrease in the motor activity of mice placed on a rotarod. In the conditioned avoidance reaction test the percentage of failure to avoid electric shock was shown to be increased after administration of the extract without any effect on the escape behaviour of the trained rats. Therefore, the CNS-depressant activity of the extract seems to be due to a tranquillizing effect.
– CNS Depressant Activity of Cuscuta chinensis Lam
The extract, in the dose of 1g kg−1 body weight orally, significantly decreased the motor activity and the tonic and clonic phases of electrically induced seizures in mice.
- Leberprotektiv
The C chinensis ethanolic extract at an oral dose of both 125 and 250 mg/kg showed a significant hepatoprotective effect relatively to the same extent (P < 0.05) by reducing levels of glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT), glutamate pyruvate transaminase (GPT), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP).
- Antioxidativ
Regarding the antioxidant activity, C chinensis ethanolic extract exhibited a significant effect (P < 0.05) by increasing levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx), and by reducing malondialdehyde (MDA) levels.
- Schwerhörigkeit
Ameliorating Effect on Hearing with Cuscuta japonica
Meanwhile, Cuscuta japonica Choisy extract (T100) treated group showed 7 days after exposure identified significant ameliorating effects compared to control group. From high ameliorating effects on hearing threshold with Cuscuta japonica Choisy extract (T100) treated group, it can be verified that Cuscuta japonica Choisy extract (T100) is effective in preventing and treating noise-induced hearing loss.
- Alterung
Study on the Anti-aging Action of the Extracts of Cuscuta chinensis in Natural Aging Mice
The anti-aging activity of the extracts of C.chinensis is achieved by improving the activity of SOD and GSH-PX,and lowering the contents of MDA.
- Immunschwäche
The herb Semen .Cuscutae can enhance the erythrocyte-mediated immune function of senile mouse model, thereby delaying the process of aging
- Katarakt
Cuscuta herb and seed supplement health benefit
Cuscuta retards cataracts in laboratory animals
